Prof. Dr. Morgan Koerner and Prof. Dr. Max Kovalov, both College of Charleston, invited the two militaries, Hanns-Seidel Stiftung and The N.C. Zeitgeist Foundation to an informal meeting with students.
Denny Lewis, mastermind behind and Director of the N.C. Defense Technology Transition Office (DEFTECH) and an old friend of LTG Ben Hodges, invited to an exchange of ideas between military and scientists of the Research Triangle. Krista Covey, President of First Flight Venture Center, most kindly provided the premises for this incredible meeting to take place in. An eclectic group came together for a Dinner Symposium in the evening consisting of the two key-note speakers, Denny Lewis, Director of the DEFTECH, and international professors representing a wide variety of academic activities.
Prof. Dr. Navin Bapat was so kind as to invite to a lecture at the Mandela Auditorium at UNC Chapel Hill. He is the Dowd Professor in the Study of Peace and War. The Zeitgeist’s main event was a Dinner Conference at Dressler’s. Key-note speaker LTG Ben Hodges deeply impressed the audience. The N.C. Zeitgeist Foundation together with the WAC Charlotte co-sponsored a Gala-Luncheon for Lt. General Ben Hodges. It was very well received by the audience.
