In recognition of the significant and long-standing German-American bilateral relationship in North Carolina, The N.C. Zeitgeist Foundation works to inform and foster dialogue about Germany’s current and historic influence of industry, culture and arts in the region. Zeitgeist means "spirit of time", and in carrying out its mission, the Foundation seeks to strengthen relationships between Germany and North Carolina. Since its inception in 2014, The N.C. Zeitgeist Foundation has strongly supported the economic development and growth in the greater Charlotte region, including initiatives to brand and promote Charlotte as a premier U.S. location for international business, trade and investment.
