As part of the Grand Speaker Series of the N.C. Zeitgeist Foundation, Honorary Consul Klaus Becker welcomed prize-winning writer and activist Jagoda Marinic, co-founder of the Intercultural Center in Heidelberg. Her visit was generously underwritten by the German Embassy’s 25 Years of German Unity Campus Week Program.
Ms. Marinic spoke on "Immigration, Integration, and Citizenship in Germany and Europe". Her remarks were very eloquent, insightful and instructive. They were followed by an animated discussion about the current refugee issues facing Germany and the rest of the world.
